Learn the Scriptures

A Study of the Bible will begin in June.  On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of each month, we will meet in the Church Hall at 7:00pm, to read and discuss portions of the Bible.  In June we will begin studying the writings of Saint Luke the Apostle
The Holy Gospel according to Luke:  We will read  and learn how the Apostle Luke transmitted the teachings of Christ to the Early Christians.  Learn what was important to the first Christians and how it is just as necessary for us today!
The Acts of the Apostles:  We will read about the activity of the early Church and learn about the origins of Holy Tradition
The discussions will be guided by the writings and commentary of the Holy Church Fathers.   All that is needed to attend the study group is a Bible and the desire to learn!

An Orthodox Grade School

An effort is being made that all area Orthodox Churches gather their resources to determine if it is possible to establish a small Orthodox Christian school in Union County; only 20 students and a few adults is all that is needed to begin.  There are already more than 30 small, successful Orthodox Christian Schools in America.  A preliminary meeting was held on June 28, 2006, as well as developmental meetings in August and September.
To all interested in the progress of the Orthodox Regional Parochial School, there has been new developments to report. A school administrator has been hired who has begun work putting together the necessary paperwork and scouting for a building to house the school. Please keep looking to check for the next scheduled organizational meeting.
