During the last week of February, 28 volunteers from our New Jersey Deanery traveled to St. Tammany Parish Louisiana to participate in IOCC ongoing recovery project on the Gulf Coast. Our deanery Clergy joined Fr. Anthony Statis of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral to bless 4 newly completed homes. During the week our team built the sub-floors, porches and all the interior and exterior wall components for two new homes. On the following week a "Women's Build" was planned. Their job was to assemble the components and have the 2 sites ready for roofing, siding, mechanicals and drywall. Working together, several teams over period of a few weeks complete the homes.
